I store gearbox driven decks on edge all the time. You want to make sure there isn't a breather or bad seal on the box that will leak in the position you will store it in. ....

Grinder, have a look at Larry's website - moweraxle dot com. He sells a device for storing your mower deck on edge and it's the best thing since introduction of CUT's. He just supplied the first New Holland version for my 60" MMM. The product and service are second to none! ....

I drew up plans for an attachment rack to store all my attachments against one wall of my barn, each having its own cradle that supports it and makes it easy to put on and take off, and can be brought down off the rack with a push of a button, now if I could only dig up the materials and time to actually make it........ ....

I store my 72" MMM on the front edge but I remove the front anti-scalp roller so it will stay put and be sure to secure it to the wall or whatever you have it leaned against so it cannot fall down. They are very heavy and could cause serious injury. As Art mentioned; it saves a BUNCH of space. It is also a good time to check the gearbox oil level, grease all the fittings, check the belts, and pressure wash the underside and touch up paint as well weather permitting. ....
